How to Surrender in CS2

You can only surrender if a teammate has already left the match.
This is a core rule in CS2 surrender system, you cannot surrender with a full team of five players.
When a teammate disconnects, follow these steps to start a surrender vote:
- Press the Esc key to open the game menu
- Click on "Call Vote" from the menu options
- Select "Surrender" from the vote types
- Wait for your team to vote
If enough teammates vote yes, the match will end and you can move on to your next game.
This system helps prevent teams from giving up too easily while still providing an exit when matches become unbalanced.
You can also use the console command "callvote surrender" if you prefer typing over menu navigation. This works the same way as the menu option.

Sometimes you might find yourself in a match with toxic teammates or server issues. In these cases, knowing how to kick yourself in CS2 can be useful as an alternative to surrender.
Remember that surrendering affects your rating, so only use it when necessary. The system exists to help players avoid wasting time in unwinnable or unfair matches, not as a way to quit when things get challenging.
